I just got DIRECTV also, and have noticed the same thing. I have 2 wireless Genie minis, and the problem happens on 1 out of the 2 (I first thought it was because they are wireless, and it took a little longer for the channel to load). One newer TV (Samsung 8000 series) works without a delay or lag, just like the main Genie. I made sure the native setting was disabled, and I also went through all of the settings on the TV itself. I have an older Samsung and there is that delay where it will switch resolutions. The banner on the TV will pop up with the resolution and I change the channel and it will flash off and the banner pops up again, and finally the channel will come in. I've gone through all the settings on that TV also and played with the DTV settings - no luck.

The only thing I could think that could possibly cause this difference is my newest Samsung TV has the OneConnect box hooked into it with the OneConnect cable, and my Genie mini is connected to the OneConnect box via HMDI. This was has no lag, no delay, works perfect. The older Samsung TV has the Genie mini connected directly via HDMI, and I have the delay.
