Am I drinking too much?

Thanks for posting the article. If I recall, drinking about half the current ‘recommended limit’ is exponentially better. Drinking no more than 2 drinks per day might on average reduce lifespan by 6 months. Figure 5. You do have to keep in mind that 2 drinks is 3 ounces of 80 proof liquor. That is almost never me. If you’re drink a bunch of Cask Strength stuff, that’s more like 2 ounces.

As this post and the article points out, drinking zero alcohol minimizes risk. That’s just not going to be my choice.

What I personally found was if I didn’t measure what I was drinking, I drank far more. Use a jigger, and if it’s a 4 ounce night, maybe back off for a day or two.
