In that case it might be worth it to follow through, in many situations while the law is on your side it's not worth the hassle. If you work for a smaller business with a single manager and no or little HR department; causing a fuss with the manager you have to work with every day can do you more harm than good even if you're technically in the right. Filing a claim for 150$ in exchange for your manager hating you isn't usually a good trade off.

People here get an E-erection at the thought of legally owning their employers, but being legally correct doesn't stop the people you're owning from hating you for it. I recognize you're a real human so just don't want you to get yourself into a mess because Redditors are satisfied by the thought of sticking it to employers.
