Why am I getting so many indented scars all of a sudden?

Considering that you yourself posited the theory that the PIH over the spot in question may have cleared, changing their appearance, I don't see why it is so difficult for you to understand that the inflammation under and around them may have cleared as well, changing their appearance. Since the niacinamide is the only new variable we're aware of, we can surely speculate that the effects of niacinamide are causing this sudden change of appearance. It's entirely possible that what the OP is observing is not in fact permanent indented acne scars, but simply healing acne that is much more shallow than usual. I think we can all agree that it does seem unlikely that after never having had indented acne scars before, it would be weird if OP suddenly had three indented scars appear out of nowhere within a week. Unless the OP posted photos somewhere that I don't see of deep ice-pick scars, it's entirely possible that what are being discussed are shallow indentations of acne in a state of healing that is not necessarily fixed and permanent. Especially with the introduction of niacinamide, which we know reduces inflammation as well as PIH, it is not outrageous to assume that the way OP's acne is healing has changed in appearance, as that is what niacinamide is for. Only time will tell. But there is also every reason to believe that as one of the functions of niacinamide is to increase collagen production (source, every single article about niacinamide on google), the sunken appearance could be mitigated over time. Again, only time will tell.

If you need any further questions answered, feel free to address them to the flock of downvoting vultures following me around on every post, since they're SO damned helpful and knowledgeable. I'm sure they'd be happy to pipe in with a theory of their own, though they've failed to add anything of value to the discussion so far.
