Am I getting ripped off on my phone plan? My friends are making me think so.

Ps. Edit dont listen to half the people in here that switched from Verizon and got a better deal. Like I said usually you get the best deals when you switch to any carrier then once you are a regular customer the deals are few an far between this is true of every carrier. Reps are scummy at any carrier any you can get ripped off at one store but get excellent service and the next it just depends on who you get. I will say that in order of the scummiest carriers are 1. Sprint 2. Att 3. Verizon 4 Tmobile. Out of the 4 majors. This is largely due to commission structure.

Go into a store knowing what plan you want and the phone price with current deals (all listed online) and you will have a cheaper bill at verizon then most carriers . No lie. But if you walk in saying you dont know what plan you want and you are open to suggestions on phone you WILL most likely get ripped at any carrier. Again dont trust the people on here saying verizon is more expensive than tmobile for example. Or ATTvwas more expensive than sprint. These people got ripped for lack of knowledge. We all take training on other carrier prices they are all within a $10 -15 difference no matter what. Except those low quality carriers like Boost, family mobile or Criket
