As far as I'm concerned, this was the ONE question Assange absolutely had to answer fully and honestly, to put the rumours to bed. He simply HAD TO. Anything less than 100% effort to prove he controls Wikileaks, and to prove he is safe, would be suspicious.

Yes, he has confirmed he is alive and well. He knew the sports scores, he spoke about current events. He is alive.

No, he hasn't confirmed he still controls Wikileaks. He deliberately missed out this question, despite it being the top post at the time with about 5k upvotes at least? He ignored it and moved on, and answered a diluted, weaker version of this question down below. But there's a reason this question has so many upvotes - everyone wanted absolute proof he still controls WikiLeaks and he deliberately WENT OUT OF HIS WAY to not give it.

It's obvious he would have provided this proof if he was capable of it. In my eyes, this has somewhat harmed WikiLeaks' credibility - I trust them less, now that I strongly suspect he has handed the reins over to someone else. It is SO EASY to sign something with his private key and the fact he ignored the top post on this entire AMA (at the time) says it all. He isn't capable of digitally signing a message with the private key.
