I am miserable.....

Yes, 2 years ago. And 4 years ago. It led me to switch majors and fall into a horrible depression. I got out of it by convincing myself that my literal survival depends on me doing good work. I started adopting better habits slowly: going to bed at a consistent hour. Keeping up with my chores and staying tidy. Working out (helped a lot). I realized that the perfectionist attitude that I adopted was killing any chance I had to attain perfection and that good habits bring better results than relying on the impulsive nature of motivation. I also became a bit numb or jaded after my 5th year in STEM. I can't talk about other degrees, but if you're in STEM, you're agreeing to put yourself through stressful conditions in hopes of a better future. It's not supposed to be fun.
