I am old graduate, given step1 in 2020, step1 in 2022, ecfmg certified and trying to apply for IM/FM/ Neuro/ Peds for 2023-2024 cycle….. will I get into residency (or) should I apply for lil less competitive psych and path???

“Where do you want to go?” This is main question, for img main thing is connections(who do you know who did you impressed and what do you bring to the program) Most programs ask for graduation within 5 years and 1/3rd of the programs asks within 2 years but scores matter and what you did those years matter too. If god forbid you dont get in then best chance is to go work at a hospital that you think to apply get to know people and try to impress them and show you will be great for there team( put your self in there shoes who would you higher? Person with highest scores or someone who is willing to learn is good at bedside manners and great with a team? ) you know the answer. But to say the least connections seem to be the biggest + for IMG students after good step scores. Might be wrong
