You can't fool your own subconscious mind, it's not an idiot. It knows everything you know and more.

You can't love yourself unless you actually do things that are worthy of love. The reason we all love heroes is because they do heroic things. They take actions that are selfless, they suffer for the sake of others and they endure experiences that are impossible to enjoy.

You don't need to save the world in order to be a hero. If you can simply be there to support your friends, family and coworkers, that's enough. If you don't know anyone in your life that you can help out then please, check out your local animal shelter, consider volunteering at a soup kitchen or food bank. There is no short supply of people who are suffering, regardless of where you are in the world.

Nobody who sits on their ass feeding themselves entertainment all day could possibly be worthy of love, especially when you benefit from so many things that society has given you that you. In order to be worthy of the boons that humanity has already given you, all you need to do is pay it forward.
