Fellow diehard fan here. This is interesting! First of all I believe The Midnight as a band is still officially just Tim and Tyler. It’s still just them on the new album promo’s, they’re the only autographs included in the album preorder (even though I know Royce tracked parts and has co-write creds on Heartbeat.) I think Juniper Winter were referring to being permanent touring stage members kind of like how Beartooth is just Caleb Shomo but he has a touring band still get to appear in promotional material and things.
That said if Royce and Lelia somehow ARE ACTUALLY full members of the band now I think I’d be okay with it, even though it would definitely be the end of an era for the band and the beginning of a new one.
For you or those that don’t know Royce is an amazing musician with a lot of experience in the big leagues. I first saw him live touring with Marianas Trench as their lead guitarist/keys years ago and I thought he added a lot to their show. He started touring with The Midnight soon after and produces/mixes live sets for Meghan the Stallion. Lelia is Royces wife and is an established singer herself so it just makes so much sense that they’d bring Juniper Winter as group for touring especially they are the opening act lol
