Am I the only one disappointed about the Jungle situation?

I gather what some of your respondents are taking issue with is not the fact that you have a different opinion, but rather the tone with which you present it.

I respect that you're attempting to give detailed arguments for your view, and I'm all for the kind of rational exchange you've set out to do. I would just encourage you to consider that, for the average Redditor, there's not much at stake when it comes to these kinds of discussions. So it's incumbent on you to woo them into conversation by presenting your thoughts intelligibly and respectfully. Calling people ignorant or a dumbass hardly does that. And immediately alleging that people "can't" respond to you is presumptuous. It may simply be the case that they don't want to, given your tone.

I should admit: I find it unfortunate that you initially presented your arguments civilly and were met with some low-quality responses. I think your best bet in these situations is to ignore them and find others who are willing to have discussion.

Just some thoughts. Cheers.
