Am I the only one nervous about BTC going higher?

No because people will eventually not care about "digital gold". Real gold is a tangible product people will always have and trade. What happens when quantum computers come about and make now existing blockchains defunct? Vitalik is at least working on some quantum proof concepts, but again, your funds are more secure in gold than with bitcoin, no matter how "secure" the blockchain is. There will be a day, not too far from now, when bitcoin is going to make a lot of greedy people dead ass broke and suicidal. It will be sad to watch, like the collapse of the .com bubble, but real organic growth behind the technology will follow. From the ashes of bitcoin, the real future players in the blockchain world will rise (not saying that has to be Ethereum necessarily).

You can't compare something like bitcoin to gold because it is technology. Technology is speculative, but almost always rooted in functionality and innovation. Eth is more innovative and the logical step forward. Others may come and make Eth defunct too.

Bitcoin is in for a massive implosion, followed by organic growth of new cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology (for other asset transfers) that actually provide use cases for the masses.

I wouldn't be too worried about bitcoin's rally on price of Eth. If Ethereum delivers even 70% of what is promised within the next year, we are looking at a ground-shattering revolution.
