Am I the only one who sees nothing wrong with the Jake Paul series?

It’s problematic for a lot of reasons. It’s extremely hypocritical as well.

The second part they keep reiterating to NOT diagnose people, but isn’t that exactly what this documentary is doing? To keep using the buzzword sociopath and spend so far two whole videos shoehorning the word in every 2 minutes.

Then there’s accusing you tubers of using dramatic music to trigger an emotional response and gain empathy from others. Shane is using the same tactic from using horror, creepy style music covering mental illness to promote fear. Then he switches to somber music when he asks about himself and what is wrong with him that he feels the need to fix people.

This same tactic he is using towards anti social personality disorders is no different than how others disorders been treated in the past. Schizophrenia was seen as demonic possession and evil. People lost their lives due to that stigma either from others fears or their own. There has been so much misconception and fear mongering towards mental health and the way in which he has presented this is extremely disgusting.

I love how the BetterHelp app is shown in the beginning and then the rest of the video is basically a “therapist” saying therapy doesn’t help. What the fuck kind of generalization is that?
Saying they have no heart, you need to take a shower afterwards wtf. And if you feel that way, honey, you shouldn’t even be in that field. How many people is she treating right now that have it or possibly have it? How do you expect people to get help when you just fucking demonized anybody with these qualities? Shane and her made this whole thing sound so cartoony and like every person with ASPD is a walking Patrick Bateman.

The therapist was so unprofessional and Shane’s dramatic reactions and cutaway clips was such a bloated exaggeration of ASPD. Acting as if someone who gives you a bad feeling is instantly a sociopath as if we’re in some horror flick is tasteless and seeing her channel grow now is alarming.

Also, I see those bashing her but defending Shane. He is literally holding back each video to upload. He made a conscious decision to still upload these videos even though I’m sure he was reviewing it and you would think he would have the common sense or decency to realize even during the interview with her, this is offensive and not helpful. He is cashing in on Jake Paul and honestly, he is looking just about as manipulative as the people he is pointing fingers at.
