Am I real?

Normal is a subjective term. We’re all a bit different. I do think introspection can eat you alive, as it’s healthy to examine yourself and your motivations, but being inside your own head 24/7 becomes dangerous. As you said, it’s a disconnect from life.

This isn’t true advice, and it’s probably not a full solution, but maybe try and connect to people and ground yourself when you want to be more aware. It’s ok if you say random things that come to mind. The point is being in the moment and actually living it. I’ve the attention span of a gnat, so living in the moment is hard.

Life is surreal. Enjoy and experience your (sometimes weird and/or surreal) interactions, and it’s ok to daydream, and to get lost staring at nature the rest of the time. Normal is highly subjective, ok? You’re good. Human. It’s ok.
