I am a teenager who is almost 300 pounds and today is the day I stop that

Lots of plain foods and getting used to just living a new lifestyle. I was 284 just 41 days ago. 257.2 this morning and I'm not going crazy on anything, just eating a lot less and for right now while I'm in my big losing phase not having much variation in foods is helping a lot. Meal prep. Having food cooked weighed and measured and ready. If you're hungry and frustrated it's so easy to make a peanut butter sandwich rather than strain black beans and weigh and cook chicken breast. Have those beans and chicken ready and there's no angry/frustrated/tired eating. Logging literally everything that goes into my body to include weighing and measuring. Measuring cups you already have around, if you can afford it or your parents can help you a small kitchen scale is invaluable.

Stick to it and it will melt off, no giving up and no 'special days'. We have already had plenty of special treats and rewards, that's how we got here. There's things that taste great that can fit into your daily intake that you'll find you love. You will have days the scale doesn't move though, and they suck but it will eventually go. Last week I didn't lose a single pound for four days, then I waited almost 36 hours to weigh in and three were gone.
