Am I too old for this? (Spoilers HoH)

I disagree that HoO is childish. Yes, there are some silly jokes and stuff like that because some of the characters in the books (like Hazel) are barely teenagers. But HoO is NOT childish.

We get to see the dark side of Percy, who nearly choked the Goddess of Misery, the struggle of a teen who had a hard time dealing with and accepting his sexuality, a guy who has self esteem issues, who thought that his life was worth less than his best friend's, so he decided to accept the prophecy and his death, a girl who was labeled 'the pretty one', who thought she couldn't fight like her friends could and often was underestimated.

A girl who has had her heart broken twice but realises that she doesn't need a guy to make her happy, a thirteen year old who died decades ago saving the world because of her greedy mother and even in afterlife, she decided to save her mother and chose fields of Asphodel rather than Elysium.

I would gladly read Percy Jackson or Heroes of Olympus over Harry Potter, where the author couldn't be bothered to write characters with better representation.

Also, don't come at me with the AlBuS dUmBlEdOrE iS gAy. There is not one proof or even a hint of that.
