I am torn between burts of creativity, understanding art as a craft but not as a passion. Can someone help me how to approach everything?

Maybe you are right, I have come to the similar conclusions but drawing/art/creativity is just something that comes and goes with me in stronger waves which leaves me with mixed feelings or that I am missing out on something, something important. A bit of a man's ego could play a part honestly.. lol

I have recently discovered whittling as a hobby. I thought woodworking would suit me but I saw woodworking as something where u need ur own garage with lots of saws and tools. Whittling is almost the same thing, just on a smaller scale which suits me. It looks very fun and meditative so I'll give it a shot, I have some projects in mind that may be ambitious but I'll see how it works out.

It is an art medium with it's own depth, complexity and requirements as a craft. It's worth trying it out at least, if I learn the basics of it and just do a few projects and move on till something else wakes up the creative spirit in me..then maybe I should just accept it how it is with creativity and me and go with the flow of it's waves, idk lol
