Am I unreasonable?

Another thing that irks me is the “I pay rent so I can do x y z”.

You pay rent to occupy a space and that includes whatever is outlined in the agreement between you and the person renting out the space.

For example: if your rent includes WiFi, is it reasonable to take up all the bandwidth because you pay rent?

If your rent includes utilities is it responsible to leave the shower running for an hour while you do your makeup?

This idea that because you pay rent you can do whatever you want is ridiculous.

I had a roommate tell me that because he pays rent his girlfriend can stay for as long as he wants.... at the time of the conversation she has been staying with him for 5 days. Is that reasonable?
