“World War 2 veteran boomer.” Yeah, that’s simply impossible by definition. I have a strong feeling someone in Gen Z may have posted this considering it shows a total lack of understanding about which generation belongs to which era. World War 2 veterans were the ones that came home from the war and had a bunch of kids, hence the “baby boom,” hence “boomer.” They are literally a generation apart. The parents and the children. It sounds like this was written by someone that thinks “boomer” is a general nickname for an older person. Not to mention the fact that that album is a recent practically just unwrapped reissue, not a vintage copy from the 1970s. Not to mention that there’s no way a world war 2 veteran would be listening to Pink Floyd. Not to mention that there are hardly any WW2 veterans still living let alone fucking posting on Reddit.
