I'm very critical and descriptive in my feedback, so it might feel like I'm coming down hard but I just want you to see where you could have made more effective or nuanced arguments! But I think I'm actually pretty fair in the numerical grades that I give out. Assignment averages are usually around a B with a solid chunk in the A-A+ and only a few hovering around failure. If you hand something in to me that attempts to follow some of the instructions I will never fail you. But you need to impress me to get an A+.

What's your worst story about an undergrad?

I had a student sexually harass me with comments like, "oh I like the way you say my name" with a sexually charged voice and a wink and saying "I promise I can make you scream" after explaining to the students that I had lost my voice.
