AMA: BB IB Analyst (2nd Year)

I went to a school in the US ranked 50-80, so if you're at a top 5 undergrad school in Canada, you're already in a great position. When you write emails, I would try to be concise and straight to the point. If you're emailing analysts and want to get them on the phone, don't tell them your whole life story, and always attach your resume. If I get an email without a resume attached, I usually don't reply unless there is a strong connection (same hometown, same undergrad). Also, if you're looking to work in the US, I would recommend reaching out to analysts who went to undergrad in Canada and successfully made the transition to the US as they might be willing to help out or provide insight. Also, don't address any analysts as Mr/Ms because I usually laugh a little every time I get an email that addresses me as Mr.
