[AMA Request] Washing Machine Specialist/Repair Tech

They're pretty okay. Redditors suffer from parrot syndrome though and after that vacuum repair tech thread you can't suggest anything other than Miele without getting your head torn off.

I own one with the motor brush only because I was able to get 50% off at bed bath and beyond from a manager. I had some cheap ass commercial Oreck that was like 100 bucks and it got me through the first 10 years of living on my own. Just had to do minor maintenance once in a while and clean it. If there is anything to argue it isn't 'meile or you're a plebian' , its bagged vacuums being better than bagless. Because you can't go and get a bagged vaccuum anymore at most retail stores.

As far as meile the cheaper ones suck because they don't have a motorized head and lack the power to compensate, the motorized ones are unweildly if you're in tight spaces and overall the canister ones are frustrating to carry around. I think the newer ones arent made in germany anymore and the outer casing feels pretty flimsy. Like if I dropped it from knee height I'd probably shatter the plastic.

I don't regret my purchase really because at discount it wasn't that much money at discount but like they're just a vacuum. The luxury of my vacuuming experience being like 10% better than my old oreck, or I suppose even a used kirby or royal or whatever is pretty much lost on me.
