Amazon is fighting against laws that could force it to verify third-party sellers' identities and give out their contact information

Went round and round with one of the CSR reps about why they allow bot purchasing on Amazon. They claimed they did not and that people just pre ordered in demand items. So I asked them to allow me to pre order the item that script bots keep buying. They then could not find a way to allow that, but directed me to a third party seller who was charging 200% over msrp.

I then told the csr, oh I get what's happening. You allow these third party sellers to bot purchase, so you make money the first time. Then you allow them to sell them again on your site to make money off the item another time.

Right about then I was disconnected from chat and asked if my issue was resolved.
