Amazon Payments sent my money to the wrong bank account after it was "pending" for 3 days.

Interesting to see that this has happened to a bunch of turkers this week. Last year I tried transferring money during a particularly laggy and buggy day on Amazon (I shouldn't have, but I had never had a problem in the past.) The funds left my AP account and never reached my bank account. They were just gone. When I tried to access the Details page for that particular transaction, I only got an error message. Does that happen to you?

I spoke to Amazon Payments about it over the phone three separate times. All 3 reps were very very nice and friendly and seemed like they wanted to help me. One dude even called me back 3 days later, on a Sunday no less, to tell me he was still working on it and not to worry. The problem is that all the friendliness in the world wasn't making my money reappear. It took over a month of prodding and eventually speaking to a higher up in Amazon Payments to get my money back.

The message here is that when it comes to Amazon, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Don't just wait around thinking it will work itself out because that doesn't always happen.
