As a Brit the disparity between the treatment of white and black people is insane to me. I can sort of understand why people might not accept/be racist towards even white people from countries with hugely different cultures and ways of life (that is obviously in no way saying that I think racism of any form is acceptable). Black and white culture is different in the US, sure, but no where near as different as white people from Poland, for example. It's just strange how people born and bred as a white person and can be treated resonably and fairly, yet someone can be born with a different skin colour can be treated so differently and unfairly just because they're darker. What the fuck is wrong with some people.
