America is becoming a place not run by laws but by those who complain the loudest

This isn't an unpopular opinion, but it is an incorrect one. The United States (and Canada, and most western nations) are run by the military industrial lobby, and to a lesser degree billionaires in general. The ruling party gerrymanders electoral districts to ensure they benefit from the lobbying more, and to prevent third parties from forming. Every once and a while they throw the average person a few bones to stop protesting from erupting into revolution.

The fallacy that "complainers rule the country" benefits only the elite. Complaining got you the weekend. Complaining got rid of child labour. Complaining got you OSHA. Complaining got you the right to vote. Complain more.
