Tesla is branded American, because Americans like to buy American things. That's it. The CEO isn't even American. Don't know what's wrong with the Americans. The rest of the world already knows, that there aren't many 'domestic' companies anymore. We live in a global corporate world. The interior and exterior design was an idea of a handsome German guy in his 30s. :)
