America should forget their tipping culture and just set a minimum wage for servers.

Tipping culture today is heavily promoted and perpetuated by the service workers themselves. Its not because businesses don't want to change the system. They do, of course.

One restaurant in NY tried no tipping rule once and it failed immediately within a few days. They had to revert the system back to tipping afterwards.

This is because, tipped workers hide behind sob story about how they "struggle" to make ends meet with less than minimum wage... woe is me :( stories, but in reality, they make double the minimum wage at minimum to three-four times the minimum wage, sometimes even more if you work for an upscale restaurant...

As you can see, the status quo is way too much of a good deal to ever let it go...
