America is starting to decay. What happens next?

I mean...what? How is a man having a mental health crisis and being shot by the police not an execution? And anyway, I feel like you're trying to argue something that is beyond my original point.

Yes, all of these systems fail black communities. It's deliberate. And it all leads up to these deadly encounters with law enforcement. It's not random. It's the system working as designed to keep non-white communities beaten down.

The police force is not the last system to fail. The truth is our police force is armed to the teeth and utilized in ways that make zero sense (if you give a shit about black communities, anyway) while chipping away at other services that would be better equipped to prevent or handle a crisis.

You're looking at this the wrong way, though. The police force is not a separate entity from the state. It isn't the social service it's touted to be. It isn't "failing" when these encounters happen; it's serving its purpose, which is the state's purpose, and the riots that occur in retaliation are therefore justified against this state-sponsored violence.

I get that you likely won't agree with me. That's fine. But this is my point, so there's no confusion: police violence is state violence, and it is the rule, not the exception. Therefore, any protests in response can and should be considered self defense.
