American conservatives and "Antifa" hysteria

I wouldn't call myself a right-winger, I vote Dem. Saying there's nothing remotely true about anything they believe is taking it pretty far.

Climate change being a hoax: for sure some believe it doesn't exist or isn't man made at all, but there's a sizable number of people (from what I understand, Trump included) that believe anything America does to try and curb climate change is going to affect business's bottom line, which will move the jobs/factories to a country that doesn't care about climate change, such as China. The net effect on the climate wouldn't change, and we'll have lost jobs/factories in America. Personally I think this is probably true in a lot of scenarios, but not power, because we're not able to buy power from Chinese coal plants.

Trickle down: The argument is that if you do things to give the company more money, it can afford to grow, and if you do things that cause the company to lose money they'll recoup by cutting costs in the form of employment. There's a hint of truth to that.

Obviously all problems aren't caused by immigration, but some are or every country would have open borders already. I'm not saying the right-wing solution is the right one or even a good one, but it is a problem.

Sex education: I got nothing (sorry right-wingers)

Unions: some of them can be bad, in some ways. Anecdote: My mother's union at a school system refused to allow one group of works a raise unless a different one also got a raise, so no one got a raise. I think they do more good than harm by far, but I wouldn't say that calling unions bad for workers is not remotely true. Like with anything, there are tradeoffs.

Evolution: this falls under religion, and first amendment. If you consider evolution a religious belief (I don't, but if I were a Christian I probably would), teaching it in schools is teaching religion, and I know I wouldn't want my kids taught religion of any kind in school.

Alex Jones: with as much tinfoil hat stuff that ended up being true, like the NSA surveillance, MK-Ultra, that sort of thing, I don't blame people for falling for some of Alex Jones's stuff. And there's a pretty good chunk of right-wingers who don't like Alex Jones, too, or he'd be on Fox News.

Antifa: the cement slushies/milkshakes/whatever were kind of scary. They also look scary (intentionally, I think)
