Lol, the best data the government has on americans abroad is some guestimate the UN has done, and by using the figure of how many Americans are born abroad (us citizens registering their kids births abroad) and multiplying that by X where X = the likeliness of americans being TOO LAZY or stupid to know the have to register their kids abroad.

No one would know you're abroad and your student loans could never find you, and you choose to tell the United State Government every single year.
