Americans are starting to suffer from Trump’s health-care sabotage

My wife was recently diagnosed with two different primary cancers. She is young (30), well educated, and before this, perfectly healthy. Annual household income is well into the six figures. Only six months into cancer treatments (if we’re lucky we’re looking at 10+ years of constant medication) and that alone would have bankrupted us, and as a result would have likely removed millions of dollars from the economy/tax revenues (based on projected future earnings). Now multiply that many thousands of times each day across the US. I struggle to see how anyone with even an elementary understanding of economics would think that such a massive elimination of wealth from the general population is good for the economy long term. I am so grateful to be able to have health insurance. I’m also happy to pay my taxes to support universal healthcare, better schools, etc.
