Americans Go Home: Canadians Track U.S. Boaters Sneaking Across The Border

I understanding what you are saying but I think it's also ignorant to think that they are all Canadian citizens. One of the examples she had was a couple from Florida who came in on their boat (aka they were vacationing) with no facial protection, etc. There will always be those who don't think the rules apply to them, rules that are in place to protect the larger population, and I think we have a right to protect ourselves and others around us by asking questions/putting restrictions on private establishments.

If the situation was reversed, and Canada was a gong show and the US was doing well. I would stay at home in Canada and IF I had to go to US for whatever reason, I would make every effort to distance myself from others and would understand why I'm being asked if I was Canadian/not allowed in establishments. It makes sense to me.

Those with boats are more than welcome to come to Victoria, just stay on your boat. You can have a nice meal there, I'm sure skip the dishes will deliver to the dock?
