Americans, tell me your thoughts on the debate.

I'm from India and I'm a BJP supporter (conservative/right wing), not something that should be openly said on any sub except a few.

Context and few incidents - (Feel free to skip this)

Recently, a friend of mine put a story on 'Close Friends' on Insta, I replied to him telling how he was wrong and presented sources, he just hmm, yeah.

I could tell he wanted to say something, but he didn't. After that, I've never tried correcting him.

I think 2 days back, there was a post on r/aww about a Sikh guy building a mosque for his muslim friend and all the replies to the top comment were filled with Modi (PM of India) Hate. If you try to present any facts/sources, which I did, you'd be downvoted.

Anyone who says anything good about Modi or BJP is called an "Andh Bhakt" (Blind Believer). The official sub of India is soo left, I can't even begin to explain. In my personal opinion, it's the worst sub of India. There are so many anti India comments with thousands of upvotes that say "I want to get out this Shithole.", "I wish China nuked India off the map."

Only biased news is allowed there. If you say anything good about Modi or BJP, you'd be banned and downvoted to oblivion.

I understand that every party has shitty people, I think it's pretty clear, BJP would be the lesser evil.

I know BJP has lots of issues. My problem with people is no one praised it for any good it has done, and only the few bad things are repeated presented in new forms.

The Wire, BBC, Al Jazeera are all biased. Everyone keeps quoting them, but, the articles in itself are not news articles rather personal opinion. One article was written by a guy who wrote a book about some riots that took place a few years back. This same guy had earlier written a book which, as said by the Supreme Court, had NO Factual Evidence and should only be taken as a fictional story.

Recently BBC called an India college student arrested in connection with riots where 53 people were killed, a Historian. The guy literally supported a terrorist (when the terrorist was killed, he said 'you'll kill one, tomorrow 10 will rise'. He even said he drew inspiration from Afzal Guru (guy arrested for a big terrorist attack on the Indian Parliament).

People on social media are comparing him with Bhagat Singh (revolutionary freedom fighter, highly respected by everyone). These are the Indian leftists.

People keep bringing Modi's name into it. One guy said, 2 days back in the thread on r/aww, "So, if the supreme court said Modi is innocent, does that mean he actually is?"

I asked him if he believed in the judiciary and all I got was downvotes.
