Dumb asses reactionaries in this sub are at it again. You don't know anything about Somalia 2006 to 2009's when Somali soldiers were kidnapping people for ransom, or when they were raping people. Even today Somali soldiers commit more rape and the AMISOM and kill more civilians. And no they are not punished afterwards. At least AMISOM actually has a department that tries to deal with this. Also AMISOM runs training institutions and hospitals. Yes they have done a lot of wrong , but the alternative is worse. What we need is a lot more oversight in AMISOM. We need to train Somalis to stop being savages and learn how to set up long term institutions that the people can trust. Somalis need to understand how to run a government that doesn't break human rights and gives people democracy. We aren't ready of that yet.
