My dad does this sometimes, like for example recently he and my mom came to Europe to visit my husband and I where we live, and neither of them had ever been before so I worked really hard to make sure the trip was special for them. My mom and I planned it mostly, but I took on the bulk of the planning. My dad made the comment to my husband to the tune of “oh you know women you just have to let them plan everything because they’ll just complain if you don’t” and later my husband told me that comment really irritated him because to him, that’s my dad just being lazy, letting the women in his life to all the work, and then setting up the blame on us for being “uptight” when really he’s just a big lazy baby.

This attitude toward women is super pervasive and men want to be able to treat us like we are incompetent while also being lazy and incompetent themselves lmao it’s bananas.

Long story short my dad is a manchild and my husband is a real one. Ladies, if you’re straight, get yourselves a man who will get annoyed and speak up when he sees other men taking advantage of women.
