Is an accountant more important than a teacher? What about other jobs? One user seems to think so and argues with anyone who disagrees.

You must be a physical education teacher with all these leaps of logic you're making. Apprenticeships are functions of the past and I used them as an example of an alternate way to educate people. I never said they should replace modern education- I said that teachers are not an irreplaceable part of the modern education system.

You clearly shouldn't be teaching history, as children did indeed learn skills and trades. Not all children, as again, learning wasn't wide in the past, it was limited, usually by social class and physical location.

And I was very fortunate to be able to learn to read long before I attended school. Clearly, you still need lessons. Unfortunately, I don't have the patience for that. Goodbye.
