Do I have an ADD?

I also feel there's a huge stigma around attention disorders likely due to the people taking advantage of it.

Absolutely. This is a major issue at UBC, and something that SHHS encounters very frequently from what I understand, given its proximity to a student population.

I have two friends that explicitly and flat-out lied to psychiatrists to get prescriptions for Ritalin and Adderall in High School because they were terrified that they wouldn't get into UBC. I feel this problem just worsens while at UBC, simply because for many, first year and second year are very difficult. Previously held study habits of high schools don't work anymore.

I've met people who experiment significantly with importing attention drugs, nootropics and research chemicals such as Modafinil from India. In addition, I will remark right now that Adrafinil, the unregulated cousin of Modafinil, which synthesizes to Modafinil in the liver, is incredibly intensive and dangerous to your long term liver health. I often feel that individuals who acquire Modafinil and Adrafinil develop a serious dependency on these drugs, and Adrafinil users will suffer liver failure by age 30.
