As an adult man, I would like nothing more than to stay home and take care of things at home. (Cooking, cleaning, child-rearing etc.)

This. When you don't use TV, nobody can say that it's not work. It's daily outing to park or library (2-3 hrs) , a craft activity at home (an hour, supervision and cleanup), 30 to an hour of reading, songs and dance parties, about an hour of cleaning up after them, outside time (another hour, also supervision bc cars kill), meal prep and dishes for 1-2 hours, and working on laundry in between (if you want to see your husband at night). I don't spend much time sitting. I sit when I breastfeed or else I watch my house get torn apart while sounding like a zoo. Anyone who thinks that isn't easy can fuck off. Granted I have 3 under 5 with some challenging temperaments.
