Is an Amazon seller obliged to send goods?

Amazon (and the vast majority of online retailers) protects itself from price mistakes by saying in the T&C that you agree to when you sign up that an order is only accepted when the item is dispatched. This allows them to legally cancel any order before it is dispatched, including for price errors as the contract has not been entered into until the moment of dispatch.

They will tell you that the order confirmation email is an acknowledgment of the order, and the dispatch email is the acceptance (and entering into a contract).

You may be able to get something as a token of apology like a discount or an extension on prime subscription etc. if you complain via customer services / live chat.
