The percentage of Native American the DNA turned up is basically statistically insignificant.....and also unknowable if its from S. American or Central American ancestry anyway.

American Indians have long held a very very strong opinion that genetic descent is not the main part of their identity: being active in the tribe/res/etc is. Growing up as a white girl, to white parents, with zero connection at all any of that makes you a white person. Finding out you have a small tiny bit of native genetics doesn't change that. It's like claiming to be black, descendant of slaves and a minority....when your last black ancestor was 150+ years ago.
