An Apple cord where both ends are for ports that Apple has now killed.

Nope not my circle, I am just basing this off the internet and my experiences in the world. People still loudly complain about it. You can look at this thread.

That's the issue isn't it. We're not talking about what makes more money. We're talking about consumer convenience.

Like what? So silly, no one's talking about profits here, it's all about that consumber experience and big tech, especially Apple have always put that on the backend of priorities. The issue is more that they haven't replaced wires with anything. Wireless is not everywhere yet and we're still predicting it'll be 10-15 years before wireless is the only way we charge devices or connect devices to other systems. This reminds me of their floppy disk fiasco, where they killed Macs in offices/schools by getting rid of the only way to easily transfer data. Luckily this port is not as vital to the world, as optical drives.
