I keep seeing this comment being made, and I gotta say I don’t think we have enough information to make that assumption.

I was a constantly neurotic mess trying to get everything done my ex-wife wanted me to do, on top of the shit I had on my plate already. And yes, I cleaned as much as I could and played with kids, I was a very present father who tried to get something done every weekend, I cooked a lot of meals, I worked extra hours to make ends meet, etc. We just had different priorities on what should be done first and she was never satisfied, to be honest. Even with me spreading myself as thin as possible I was only told it wasn’t enough and that I wasn’t “sharing the mental load”. I had my own goddamn mental load I never asked her to take on.

It’s possible he’s a lazy shit, and it’s possible she’s controlling. It’s possible they’re just having fun and these are things she is requesting he do as SIDE QUESTS this weekend. If you’ve ever had a family you know this shit builds up and maybe she doesn’t mind helping keep track of a running list.
