Not sure why people get so upset about understanding this, some huge proportion, like 65%, of the Australian Population aren't even eligible for AZ anyways yet everyone is rooting for it for some reason. The Aussie government put all their eggs in the wrong basket unfortunately.

But if you actually read the report from the lancet it says the study was showing results from the B.1.1.7 strain which is the UK variant, which means nothing for us currently. Against the circulating Indian strain and other variants like the African strain the Astra Zeneca is far behind Pfizer.
