If my 3/4 of my grandparents came from Italy, and most of my relatives, my mother included, were essentially immersed in Italian culture and grew up in Italian neighborhood for their childhood, but were born in America, then it would make sense to call them Italian-American. However, considering the fact that they group up in Italian community, I feel like it would be a safe bet to call them Italian for the sake of the arguement. Other than that, I don't know what else you want me to say. My Grandma on Dads side and my Grandpas, who were the ones who immigrated from Italy, do the pinched finger thing, they drink wine at every occasion (Cousins 3rd birthday? Bust out the Pinot!), and I have a great uncle named Luigi (who we call lou). And of course, they say badabing, badaboom. Then again, that's a smaller sample size, and you could just use that against me. Who knows, who cares, because you'll just refute what I say with more venom.
