This is assuming that guns are as necessary as cars, which is debatable. However,perhaps assuming the author thought this hard about it is too generous. More likely he's trying to say "guns dont kill people, people do," a wonderous piece of logic that ignores decades of precedent for banning dangerous consumer goods. However, my understanding is that libertarians do not believe in consumer protection, and probably subscribes to the NRAs magical notion that a gun is not a consumer good, but rather a second cock, a natural biological extension of it's owner. Fuck it, you're right libertarians. No regulation. Private citizens can own anything they want cars, guns and nukes, it's all the same. Nukes don't kill people, people do!!!
