An interesting look at societal views of women and motherhood

München - or Munich (as English natives tend to call it) is a lovely city (it's not quite a metropolis like say New York or Rome or even London - but it has everything they offer (at least I think it does) in a much smaller package and the people are a lot more relaxed here IMHO), I'd love to live there, but it's too expensive (and you are right, we have a housing crisis because new construction isn't keeping up with the demand, partly because the government redistributed funds that should have been used for affordable housing (in order to put pressure on companies because if the state supplies lots of cheap flats than prises will go down, so they'd rather build the flats themselfes IMHO))

Still, I like Bavaria - and while I would love to visite Berlin (I have never been to our new capital (the old one was Bonn), other destinations were much more fun to visit, like Spain (I took a trip there last year)...) I would not want to live there...same for Hamburg :)

Of course he can learn the language (note: Try to do it without the accent - most Americans (you are from there, aren't you?) have a funny accent when speaking German (well, funny for a native speaker anyway))...I myself am learning Spanish ATM (for school but also because I wanted to - I could have chosen French which I have had lessons in earlier (so I still know some of the basics), but I was never good at it and Spanish is much more usefull) and I am not the best learner either (got ADHD, so concentrating for long periods of time is more or less impossible, so I have to split my learning up into 15-30 minute sessions with breaks between them!)...just make sure you teach him in a way that's not just pure theory and grammar (watch movies, play video games (I play mine with English language settings...sounds better most of the time, too), try to read books later on or just try to talk :) - I learned english this way (my lessons in school helped, but they were too basic to teach real speaking or listening and you were only learning basic vocabulary...to learn any more you have to do it yourself -.-)
