[Anandtech] The Apple A15 SoC Performance Review: Faster & More Efficient

I know that not throttling on mobile devices is silly and basically means leaving free performance on the table for bursty loads, the majority of smartphone interaction.

Hopefully in the next 2 years apple integrates their modems and starts to at least put some thermal pads on their devices so they can transfer the heat from the SoC to the chassis in a more efficient way.

This is again what I love and the hate the most about apple. Absolute best SoC years ahead the competition, paired with the worst cooling implementation. I understand that part of the issue comes from not having an integrated modem, but even on Macs the cooling was never close to great.

The previous Intel MacBook Air was really an atrocious low tier product compared to something like a XPS13.

Anyway, beast A15 is a beast.
