Anarchy is a power vacuum. Someone WILL fill that vacuum. Hence, anarchy can never work.

This has nothing to do with the point I made, which is that people need a leader.

If your argument is that people need a leader therefore people need a rich non-worker to extract the surplus value from their labor, then it has everything to do with the point you made.

If that isn't your point, what are you getting at? What does people needing a leader have to do with anything we're discussing?

There isn't fear of socialism, not of actual socialism.

That's my point. People are starting to understand that socialism isn't the bogeyman their capitalists overlords have been terrifying them with for generations. Like I said, fear and ignorance have kept people from embracing socialism, but that's changing.

Oh you sweet summer child. That's not control. That's a vote. That's getting a say.

Don't try to be condescending, you entered this conversation with the belief anarchism was anti-government.

And yes, you get a say. Like with any political movement, the goal is to grow to the point that enough people have the say they need.

How are people limited from creating their own means of production, right now?

They're not, like I said. The public has every right to create a public means of production.

People have the opportunities right now that you think are unique to socialism.

The difference between public enterprise and private enterprise is public enterprises are allowed to use public resources. That is unique to socialism. It's allowable under the free market, but that doesn't mean it's part of capitalism. The free market allows socialism or capitalism. They're not the same thing, and neither has a monopoly on the free market.

You can have worker ownership under capitalism. How do you not get that?

The system we can do this under is called the free market, not capitalism.

Capitalism is private ownership of production. Social ownership of production, like worker ownership, is socialism. They're different modes of production. They're not the same thing. How do you not get that?

We can already do that. I don't think your ideas are very well thought out here.

Yes, we can already do that. I've been saying that all along. It's not that my ideas are poorly thought out, it's that you seem to fundamentally misunderstand what they are.
