That's why I said "maybe". In fact, there are even 2 stages of "privileged" editors, passive and active editors. Passive editors are being able to edit things without needing active editors approval. Active editors are the ones at the top of the hierarchy. They can control which changes by unprivileged users are approved or not. I'm a passive editor which took a surprising amount of "grinding".

But you're right, german Wikipedia can be quite power-hungry. The more I used Wikipedia, the more I found out its flaws. Basically a few people can decide what to write in an article and what not. It reminds me a bit of powermods on Reddit who can control the narrative
